


I think eurorack is great for this sort of thing because of the way you can get everything talking to each other and the affordance of an organic looseness that software options don't always make easy. In addition to some of the excellent recommendations here I suggest also looking at Noise Engineering, Erogenous Tones and Tiptop modules. But having a lot of interactive triggers and envelopes will give you happy accidents, which actually works better for me in modular. Sequencers like the ER-101 give you precise programmed control. I guess there are two ways to go here that could be combined. Also look for trigger modifiers, ratcheting modules and or complex sequencers that allow for microtiming. You should look at getting noise modules and function generators that can provide snappy envelopes. There are definitely modules more suited to the glitch aesthetic.
